Our Team

Acknowledgments

The Alan Paton Trust extends our heartfelt gratitude to the following people, without whom, this Legacy Project would have remained but a hope.

The Trustee of the Alan Paton Will Trust, and director of the Ewing Trust Company, who as well as just being a very cool dude, believed in our vision for this project and helped us to bring this vision, now into reality – Iain Ewing.

The Charitable Division Manager for the Ewing Trust Company, a person that if we could clone, would make Earth into an instant Heaven, for her being just that special of a human being – Michelle Brown.

The Relationship Consultant for the Ewing Trust Company, who belongs on the bridge of absolutely any spaceship, for her being such an invaluable asset to any adventure – Tyla Hooper.

The Special Collections Team of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, who kindly assisted us with the Alan Paton & Struggle Archive collections, and without whom, this Legacy Project would have been rather featureless – Roshini Pather and Senzosenkosi Mkhize.
And an especial thank you to Research Assistant of the Alan Paton Centre, whose friendly proficiency in all things to do with the archives, must have by now made many a researcher and interested party, sigh with relief and gratitude – Sherian Latif.

To Editorial Assistant and livewire of contagious enthusiasm, who with every exchange and every completed task, leaves one feeling as though the future is not only in good hands, but hands that have a glow and warmth to them – Nokwanda Dlamini.

To Senior Editor and Web Designer – words don’t seem to be adequate to the heart burst of gratitude that comes with acknowledging how much of this project, has been only because of you and because of your boundless talents – and perhaps all that can be said then, is Yay! – look at what we did! – Wendy Ashworth.

To Anne Paton, and to all of the Heirs, we hope that we have added a small measure to as proud as you must always have been, to have been a part of something as Great as This. And we hope to go on to make you even more proud, by doing the good work that Alan Paton allows us to.

And of course, Alan Stewart Paton! who left us on this day, but not in Spirit . . .
